Library

With its gold coffered ceiling and handsome, comfortable spaces, the Library is one of the largest, and surely most peaceful, of any club in the city. There are over 39,000 volumes in the collection, with new titles added each month. This is an active lending library and a tranquil haven for when you want to read or study, browse through a magazine, or wirelessly surf the web. The library also holds a selection of financial and legal reference books, newspapers, and a selection of popular periodicals. For parents visiting with young ones, there is even a collection of children's books. In the cozy, mahogany-paneled Clarence Day Room, you'll find a collection of Yale memorabilia (class books, reunion books, the Yale Alumni Magazine). Members can also rent this space through the club's reservationist for meetings, including conference calls, for groups of up to eight. Additionally, the Library is often the inviting setting for special events such as lectures and readings by authors.

The Library is open year-round and is staffed Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and on Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (8:00 am to 3:00 pm during July and August).

The dress code in the Library is business casual.  Denim, neat and in good repair, is permitted.  No athletic wear, shorts, or flip-flops are permitted.
