It’s a place where one can catch up with old friends and former classmates while making new acquaintances, the kind of which could lead to lifelong friendships. It’s a wonderful place to meet over lunch in the Tap Room or even over a few drinks at the Main Bar, either between club members or while being accompanied by guests. The amenities that are offered are numerous, including 138 guest rooms, at least two fully equipped bars plus a smaller one, all of which can hold their own alongside the best in Manhattan, three restaurants that offer fine cuisine and exemplary service, and a library consisting of over 50,00 volumes, as well as full internet and wifi service. In addition, the club sports a first rate gym facility which houses three international squash courts, treadmills, weights, and much, much more.

The Dartmouth Club of New York has been in residence at The Yale Club of New York City since 1974, prior to which time it occupied a seven-room suite at the now long since vanished Commodore Hotel from 1961 to 1973, and, going back even further still, formerly shared space with the old Princeton Club, which was then located on 38th Street and Park Avenue South. The Dartmouth College Club was first incorporated in 1925. Today’s state-of-the-art facility, however, offers advantages enjoyed by few other clubs, because, while the 23-story clubhouse itself was first built in 1915, it has been continually updated and modernized to reflect the ever changing times, while also embracing its proud heritage, and therefore appeals not only to the older generation, but is also looked upon with favor by today’s generation, as well. In addition, the Yale Club staff is like none other, being among the friendliest and most courteous people that one could ever hope to meet or by whom to be waited upon.

Another one of the great benefits of club membership is the opportunity to visit one of our ninety-five reciprocal clubs located within twenty-one states and seventeen major countries worldwide, many of which offer overnight accommodations of the highest caliber. While visiting these clubs, you will be extended the same niceties and courtesies afforded to their own members, while also being treated like an old familiar friend in often unfamiliar territory.
